A cancer diagnosis is one of the most overwhelming moments a person can face. Waiting weeks for consultations, navigating a fragmented system, and confronting costs that run into the hundreds of thousands — all of it adds to an already enormous burden. MyMediTour helps patients explore international treatment options: experienced specialists, established cancer centers, and faster access to care.
MyMediTour is a medical tourism facilitator. That means we coordinate access to care — we do not provide diagnoses, treatment plans, or medical advice of any kind. All treatment decisions are made by qualified oncologists after reviewing your full medical history. We exist to help you find and access those oncologists — and to take the complexity out of doing so internationally.
Connect you with vetted oncology specialists abroad, coordinate consultations and second opinions, help you understand your options, and manage the logistics of international care from start to finish.
We don't provide medical advice, recommend specific treatments, or override decisions made by your medical team. All clinical decisions remain with you and your physicians — always.
We strongly encourage every patient to remain connected with their primary oncology team at home throughout the process. International care works best as a complement to — not a replacement for — your existing medical relationships.
No coordinator, facilitator, or hospital can guarantee outcomes in cancer treatment. We will never tell you otherwise. What we can do is help you access qualified specialists and make informed decisions.
These are the four most common reasons our patients begin exploring options abroad. We present them honestly — not as guarantees, but as real possibilities worth understanding.
In the US, specialist consultations and treatment planning can take weeks or months. Partner hospitals abroad often have significantly shorter wait times — allowing patients to receive initial evaluations and begin planning treatment sooner.
Cancer treatment in the US can cost tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars — even with insurance. The same established protocols at internationally accredited hospitals abroad often cost a fraction of that. All figures are estimates until confirmed by the provider.
A second opinion from a qualified oncologist can be invaluable — sometimes confirming a diagnosis, sometimes opening up additional treatment paths that weren't previously on the table. International specialists offer a genuinely independent perspective.
Some therapies and clinical programs available at international cancer centers are not yet offered — or carry long waitlists — in the US. Access to a broader set of options matters when the stakes are high.
JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation — the same standard applied to top US hospitals — is held by partner hospitals in Turkey, Panama, South Korea, and Colombia. These facilities operate with rigorous safety, quality, and clinical outcome standards. The difference is access and cost — not quality of care.
The hospitals we work with have dedicated oncology departments staffed by specialists who trained at internationally recognized institutions and regularly treat patients from the US, Canada, and Europe.
MyMediTour evaluates every hospital in our network before recommending it. If a hospital doesn't meet our standards, we don't work with them — regardless of price.
Every case is different. The following represents the types of oncology care available through our partner hospital network — not a guaranteed service list. Final scope is always determined after your case is reviewed by the treating team.
Independent review of your diagnosis, imaging, pathology, and current treatment plan by an experienced oncologist. A second opinion doesn't have to mean changing course — it means being certain.
Tumor resection and cancer-related surgery performed by experienced oncological surgeons at accredited hospitals. Includes minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical options where available.
Established chemotherapy protocols administered at partner hospitals under the supervision of qualified medical oncologists. Includes access to newer regimens not yet widely available in the US.
External beam radiation, IMRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery programs at hospitals equipped with advanced radiation technology and staffed by experienced radiation oncologists.
Access to immunotherapy protocols and targeted therapy programs for eligible patients — including options that may have long waitlists or limited availability in the US healthcare system.
PET-CT scans, full-body MRI, advanced pathology, and molecular profiling at significantly lower cost than US imaging facilities — useful for staging, monitoring, and second opinions on imaging interpretation.
Each destination in our cancer care network offers internationally accredited hospitals, qualified oncology specialists, and a structured international patient program.
Turkey's JCI-accredited hospital groups — Memorial Hospital and Medical Park — operate full oncology departments with specialist teams covering surgical, medical, and radiation oncology. These hospitals treat thousands of international patients annually and are equipped with advanced imaging and treatment technology.
Pacifica Salud in Panama City holds JCI accreditation and is one of the most advanced hospitals in Latin America. American-trained physicians, English-speaking staff, and a short flight from the US East Coast make Panama the most accessible international option for many patients.
South Korea consistently ranks among the world's leading countries for cancer survival rates. Seoul's major hospital groups offer highly specialized oncology programs — including advanced surgical techniques, precision oncology, and access to programs not yet widely available elsewhere.
Colombia has developed into one of Latin America's strongest medical tourism destinations, with internationally trained oncologists and modern hospital infrastructure. Hospital Serena del Mar in Cartagena offers comprehensive specialist programs with a strong international patient track record.
A clear, structured process — so you know exactly what to expect from the moment you reach out.
Tell us about your diagnosis, what you're looking for, and any treatment you've already received. No commitment — just a conversation.
A coordinator reviews your case and identifies the hospitals and specialists best positioned to help — based on your specific diagnosis and goals.
The matched hospital reviews your medical records and provides an honest assessment — including whether they can help and what an appropriate care plan might look like.
If you decide to move forward, we coordinate the full logistics — travel, scheduling, communication, and follow-up — so you can focus entirely on your care.
Answered directly and honestly — no spin.
The hospitals we work with hold JCI accreditation — the same international standard used to evaluate leading US hospitals. They operate modern imaging equipment, employ oncologists trained at internationally recognized institutions, and routinely treat patients from the US and Canada. That said, not every case is appropriate for international care, and the hospital's oncology team will assess your specific situation honestly before you commit to anything.
That's something worth discussing with your home team — and we encourage you to. Some oncologists are open to coordinating with international specialists; others may not be. What you receive abroad will always include a full written clinical report in English, which you can share with your physician at home. The goal is to give you more information, not to replace your existing care.
Complex and advanced cases can still be appropriate for international oncology consultation — especially for second opinions or access to specific treatment programs. Suitability is always evaluated by the specialist team after reviewing your full medical history, imaging, and pathology. We present your case honestly and will tell you if a destination or facility isn't the right fit for your situation.
Cancer treatment costs vary significantly by type, stage, and protocol. In the US, a course of chemotherapy or surgical oncology can run from tens of thousands to well over $100,000. At accredited international hospitals, the same established treatments often cost a fraction of that. All figures shared during your evaluation are estimates — final pricing is confirmed by the hospital after reviewing your case. We do not guarantee any pricing.
Every hospital in our network is evaluated before we coordinate care there — including physician credentials, training, board certifications, and experience treating international patients. When you request an evaluation, we provide clinic and physician information so you can verify qualifications directly. We don't ask you to take our word for it.
Follow-up care is one of the most important parts of the planning conversation — and we raise it before you travel, not after. Your care plan will include documentation of the treatment received, recommendations for follow-up, and guidance on what your home oncologist will need. Some ongoing treatment can be managed locally; some may require return visits. We plan for this in advance.
MyMediTour coordinates access to oncology care at vetted international hospitals. We do not provide medical advice, recommend specific treatments, or make any clinical decisions. We help you understand your options, connect you with qualified specialists, and manage the logistics of international care. All medical decisions remain with you and the treating team — always.
Contact us today and we'll help you understand what international cancer care coordination can offer for your specific situation. A coordinator will reach out within 24 hours — not to sell you on a destination, but to genuinely understand your case and give you an honest picture of what's available.
