Safety is not a function of geography — it's a function of the team and the facility. We vet both rigorously.

Before we refer any patient, we verify the treating physician's board certifications, fellowship training, and institutional affiliations. Many of our partner cardiac surgeons completed advanced training at European or US institutions, and hold memberships in international cardiology and cardiac surgery societies. We do not work with hospitals that cannot document their surgeons' credentials and surgical volume. You can ask your coordinator for specific surgeon information for any case.

Length of stay depends on the procedure and your recovery. Diagnostic procedures (angiography, cardiac checkup) can typically be completed in 3–5 days. Angioplasty / stenting requires 5–7 days minimum. Bypass surgery or valve replacement typically requires 12–18 days in-country before it's safe to fly home — including ICU stay, step-down care, and cardiologist clearance for travel. Your specific timeline is determined by the cardiac team based on your case and recovery progress.

Cardiac follow-up is planned before you leave. Your treating cardiologist will provide a detailed discharge summary, operative report, echocardiogram results, medication plan, and follow-up schedule — in English, in formats your home cardiologist can use. Cardiac care requires ongoing monitoring, and we ensure your home physician has everything they need to continue your care from the day you return. We can also facilitate virtual follow-up consultations with your treating team if needed.
