Leg pain, visible veins,

doesn't go away?

These symptoms can point to underlying vascular issues that shouldn't be ignored. Patients today are accessing advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatments abroad — often with faster recovery and more efficient care. Addressing it early can make a big difference.

Early intervention matters
Vascular conditions often progress quietly. Getting evaluated sooner leads to simpler, less invasive treatment options.
Symptoms that deserve attention

What your body may be
trying to tell you

Vascular conditions rarely appear suddenly. They tend to develop gradually — and the sooner they're evaluated, the more treatment options are available. These are the most common signs our patients come to us with.

🦵
Leg Pain or Heaviness
Persistent aching, cramping, or a heavy feeling in the legs — especially after standing or walking — can indicate poor circulation or venous insufficiency. It's often dismissed as "just tiredness," but the underlying cause matters.
Don't dismiss persistent pain
🩸
Visible Varicose or Spider Veins
Bulging, twisted veins or web-like spider veins are more than cosmetic. They signal that vein valves aren't functioning properly, causing blood to pool rather than flow back toward the heart efficiently.

💧
Swelling That Doesn't Resolve
Swelling in the feet, ankles, or lower legs — particularly at the end of the day or after prolonged inactivity — may indicate venous disease, lymphatic issues, or compromised circulation requiring evaluation.
May worsen without treatment
🌡️
Skin Changes or Discoloration
Darkening skin around the ankle, a feeling of heat, itching, or developing sores near the lower leg are signs of more advanced venous disease. At this stage, early intervention becomes particularly important.

Common questions, answered plainly.

Vascular care abroad may be unfamiliar territory. Here are the questions patients ask us most.

For most varicose vein conditions, minimally invasive techniques like EVLA, radiofrequency ablation, and sclerotherapy are now the clinical standard — with equivalent or better outcomes than traditional surgery, significantly less pain, and much faster recovery. Many procedures are outpatient, require no general anesthesia, and allow patients to walk the same day. For more complex vascular conditions, the appropriate procedure depends on the patient's specific case — which is determined by the specialist team after evaluation.

It depends on the procedure. Varicose vein treatments (EVLA, sclerotherapy) are typically outpatient procedures — patients can travel home within a few days of treatment, usually staying 5–7 days total for evaluation, procedure, and initial recovery. More complex vascular procedures (arterial bypass, peripheral vascular surgery) require a longer stay — typically 1–2 weeks including post-operative monitoring. Your coordinator will walk you through the expected timeline for your specific condition before you book anything.

No referral is required to reach out to us or to begin the evaluation process. Many patients come to us with symptoms but no formal diagnosis — and getting a proper vascular evaluation abroad is often the first step. If you have existing imaging, a duplex ultrasound report, or a letter from your physician at home, bringing those will help speed the evaluation. But you can start the process without any of that.

Estimates from our partner hospitals typically include the specialist consultation, diagnostic imaging, the procedure itself, anesthesia (if applicable), and standard post-procedure monitoring. Flights and accommodation are not included unless specifically stated. Final costs are confirmed by the provider after evaluating your case — estimates are not guaranteed prices and may change based on findings. We always present costs transparently before you commit.

For most vascular procedures, follow-up care at home is straightforward — compression stockings, activity guidance, and periodic check-in appointments with a local physician. We provide your treating hospital's full discharge records and can help you communicate your treatment history to your home care team. For complex procedures, your treating hospital will provide a detailed follow-up protocol. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage for all international procedures.
